Autosave is a feature that saves your work automatically in the background while you type, edit, or create.

How autosave works

Autosave checks for changes and writes them to storage without you pressing Save.

Why it matters

What autosave does not guarantee

Autosave helps, but it is not perfect.

• Some apps only autosave drafts, not final files

How to fix it if autosave is not working

• Check the app’s Settings and turn autosave on
• Confirm you have write permission to the folder
• Make sure cloud storage is connected and not full
• Update or restart the app
• Keep a backup habit: manual save important milestones

Watch out if you notice these signs:

• Recent edits disappear after reopening
