What does "Business Closed" mean on delivery tracking?

The short answer

“Business Closed” means the delivery driver arrived at the destination but couldn’t complete the delivery because the business was closed.

Why does this happen?

This status shows up when a package is being shipped to a commercial address and the driver finds the location shut. Common reasons include:

  • The driver arrived outside business hours — some routes run early mornings, evenings, or weekends
  • The business was temporarily closed — for a holiday, lunch break, or unexpected closure

What happens to your package?
